It
might have just been a matter of coincidental timing that the
JACKCOLTON site launched
last year just as all of the major magazines were releasing their
annual 'most beautiful' lists, but it certainly was no coincidence
that we felt strongly that most everyone else's choices for their
respective Most Beautiful were just plain awful. People
Magazine ran through their usual gauntlet of the same
a-list of celebrities as the year before, Maxim
did their usual bikini selections, and more specifically - The
Las Vegas Weekly had a selection of honorees that left
many of their readers both outraged and in tears. Frustrated and
eager, Kelly Guldi and I directly challenged
the Weekly's list of Las Vegas' Most Beautiful as we thought they
were cutting our city drastically short in terms of real beauty.
Kelly held nominations and ultimately decided upon her list of
the 20 Most Beautiful People in
Las Vegas. The newly minted JackColton.com proudly displayed
Kelly's list, which in turn garnered just under 750,000 views
over the next many months as this site skyrocketed in popularity
(i'm not boasting, that's just the way it happened). Honorees
were hounded in the streets, media took note, and I believe a
friendship or 200 were forged in the process.
Apparently
the masses thought that the list displayed on the JACKCOLTON
site was so good that they absolutely demanded more. For 2007,
we are proud to bring you two (2) separate lists of beauty. The
first, The 20 Most Beautiful: Summer Edition, is based solely
on the honorees' ability to cause heads to turn and cameras to
flash when they set foot into any of the Las Vegas Summer pool
events such as Bare,
Rehab, Tao Beach. Simply put,
they've got to look sexy in a swimsuit. The girls required jaw-dropping
curves, and the guys needed washboard abs. Each of the below honorees
were nominated by one of their peers in Las Vegas, and ultimately
I made the final decision on who would make the cut. Not surprisingly
I'm friends with most of those featured on this list, but I assure
you that had absolutely nothing to do with it. So without further
discussion, I'm proud to present the 20 Most Beautiful People
in Las Vegas: The Summer Edition.
*Kelly
Guldi will again be releasing her list
later this year that will be based on "Inner and Outer Beauty."
We are planning to again post it on JackColton.com.
*5/6/07:
I will be adding in the complete profiles of each of the honorees
as well as each of the photography credits over the course of
the next few days. Tracking down 20 people for interviews is fairly
difficult!
